On the way to Andrews Forest, we took in some of the Oregon scenery, spending a little time at Mount Hood, then moving on to McKenzie Pass.
Lookout Creek, OR
Lookout Creek, our second site, was similar to Falls Creek, WA but a bit larger. It also had a more diverse vertebrate community, with trout, an abundant sculpin, plenty of salamanders, and a few frogs. Substrate was again primarily large cobble and boulder, but the Team had some practice moving and working in this type of difficult environment. H. J. Andrews Forest has been the location of some excellent ecological research over the years and it was great for the Team to have some exposure to it!
